Located at 281 Tomas Morato Street, Diliman, Quezon City, Book and Borders Cafe offers over 650 books and magazines — from a wide range of fiction to non-fiction, cook books to kiddie books, Young Adult themes to general knowledge – this library-based cafe has them all.
This place is a haven for bookworms, as it’s not like other crowded cafes where people are more engaged in conversations. At Book & Borders, they have a cozy ambiance paired with jazz and classical music for the customers to simply chill out, relax and read their books.
As I stepped in, I was immediately stunned by the wide array of books on shelves around the cafe. The colorful seats and wood finish tables seem to invite the customers to be oh-so comfortable. Though almost jam-packed, silence surrounded the cafe as most of the customers were reading and studying.
On the menu are hot and cold flavored drinks, smoothies, pasta, and sandwiches— prices ranging from P100-P250. They have a separate menu for the pastries and desserts filled with cakes, muffins and donuts, which are all also on display.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try their meals since I had just eaten dinner before going there. I was able to try their hot cafe mocha, though, and I really loved it. It had the perfect amount of sweetness while still getting the “kick” from the espresso. Plus, the latte art makes it “instagram-worthy.”
Overall, I loved my first experience at Book & Borders Cafe. It’s the perfect place to go to if you feel like taking a break from the busy metropolitan, read a book while enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
