The Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles smashed the Adamson University (ADU) Soaring Falcons 84-60, last Saturday, September 12, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Soaring Falcons got to an early lead by ending the first quarter ahead by three points, 13-16. The Blue Eagles however immediately closed the gap and took over by ending the first half 34-30.
The Falcons were not able to squeak past the Eagles who continued to strengthen their overwhelming 14-point lead by ending the third quarter 48-62.
The Eagles’ talons didn’t let go of their lead as they ended the game with a decisive 84-60 victory over the Falcons.
Ateneo’s offense was powered by Kieffer Ravena with 24 points. While Von Pessumal and Aaron Black have considerably contributed with 12 and 11 points respectively for their first win.
A valiant effort by Papi Sarr, who marked 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Falcons, unfortunately did not stop them from getting a 0-2 score card in the start of this season.
The Eagles are currently at a 1-1 standing after a defeat from the Far Eastern University Tamarraws last Sunday, September 6. The team is set to face the University of the East Red Warriors for their next match on September 19, Saturday at the same venue.
