The Ateneo Blue Eagles came out on top against arch rival De La Salle Green Archers last November 8 in the UAAP basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Archers dominated the first half of the game with a 35-30 advantage over the Eagles before the latter unleashed a 23-9 run to seal the third quarter, 53-44.

La Salle gained its momentum during the fourth canto, trimming the deficit to four, 62-66, courtesy of Prince Rivero’s lay up.
After several call outs, Ateneo emerged victorious as Kiefer Ravena, who played his final clash against the Archers, put the finishing touches with freebies, as they embark on a twice-to-beat edge.
The now 9-4 Katipunan-based squad rode on the back of Von Pessumal who scored 17 points and six rebounds. Ravena chipped in 15 with five rebounds and 3 assists, while Aaron black fired 13 points.
Meanwhile, Prince Rivero and Jeron Teng paced La Salle with 16 and 11 points, respectively.
La Salle is now on fifth place with a 5-7 scorecard behind NU (6-7).
