De La Salle University was off to a slow start yet again, showing signs of why they were on a 2 game losing skid. But Jeron Teng and Thomas Torres agreed to disagree.
Jeron Teng tallied 18 points and 9 rebounds while Thomas Torres chipped in 16 points and dished out 5 assists as the Green Archers bucks off slow start to beat the Soaring Falcons, 88-71, Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

After Adamson raced to a 6-1 lead early in the game, the Green Archers went on a 23-6 scoring tear lead by Teng and Torres to grab the lead and never looked back as they cruised to their second win against as many losses.
Despite being down for most of the game, the Falcons kept fighting back and trimming down the lead to as close as 70-81 in the 4th quarter. But De La Salle had the final say as they countered with a 7-1 run to seal the final count.
Adamson was lead by Pape Sarr who chipped in a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. However, noticeable was the Falcons’ leading scorer Joseph Nalos who was just held to 10 points.
According to Green Archers coach Juno Sauler, Thomas Torres’ re-emergence was a vital key in limiting the production of Nalos. “Thomas played great not just on offense, but also on his defense on (Adamson’s) top-scorer Joseph Nalos,” Sauler addressed the media.
