The National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs triumphed over the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws in their 2nd game today, Sept. 13, at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Having won two matches in the best-of-three semis, the Lady Bulldogs already secured a spot in the finals of the Shakey’s V-League 12th Collegiate Conference.
The Lady Tamaraws started strong, winning the first set 25-20. With the aid from guest players Honey Royse Tubino and Jovelyn Gonzaga, the FEU squad bolstered by Toni Rose Basas and Remy Joy Palma was able to take a set from the powerful Lady Bulldogs, who won Game 1 yesterday, Sept. 12.
The NU squad, however, took three consecutive sets, scoring 25-13, 25-21, 25-16. Myla Pablo, who chipped in 23 excellent points; Jaja Santiago, Aiko Urdas, and Jorelle Singh took control of the game, which gave NU a spot in the finals.

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses, on the other hand, conquered the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Lady Eagles, handing their first loss in a grueling four-set match after a 10-game winning streak to force Game 3.
Fresh from their straight-sets win yesterday in Game 1, the Lady Eagles, led by Alyssa Valdez and Bea De Leon, easily took the first set, 25-18.
The Golden Tigresses, however, gained momentum off the errors of the Lady Eagles in the 2nd set that continued until the 4th set, scoring 25-16, 25-23, 25-22.
EJ Laure, who scored 17 points, Pam Lastimosa, Carmela Tunay, and Marivic Meneses earned the most points for the UST squad, scoring from triple-blocks, attacks, and service aces.
With their Game 2 win, the Golden Tigresses forced another game that will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The team victor of the game will battle the NU Lady Bulldogs for the gold, while the loser will face the FEU Lady Tamaraws in a battle for bronze. The Millennial Post
