University of Santo Tomas (UST) blazed past the Adamson University (AdU) ending the elimination round with an 11-3 standing last Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Growling Tigers kick-started the battle with a score of 21-14, garnering an immediate 7 point lead against the Falcons in the first quarter.

UST wasted no time to continue on with their rally, allowing for a 37-26, and 57-44 in the 2nd and 3rd quarters respectively.
The Falcons were no longer able to catch on, as UST’s lead ballooned to 25 points in the 4th quarter, 73-48, coming back at the Falcons for every rally.
Adamson wrapped up its season with a 3-11 standing in this year’s UAAP men’s basketball tournament. Meanwhile, UST is given a chance for a comeback in the final four.
Team captain Kevin Ferrer led the now 11-3 Tigers with a career-high 25 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Louie Vigil and Ed Daquioag also provided firepower with 15 and 11 points respectively.
Adamson’s Pape Sarr charged with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Nico Capote added 10 markers and nine boards.
